I wasn"t gonna review either but after seeing this hate, I think people are gonna second guess themselves in terms of watching it so I thought I would give my opinion.
I loved it. When I left this movie, I almost teared up as a grown male adult and unlike the first one, I left with the want to go back and watch it again (which I did. So here are my rebuttals:
1) The plot. Like everyone else said, the story does leave a lot of unanswered questions and holes that the creators could"ve caught and fixed. However, I feel like the storyline is not simplistic at all. I felt that Disney did an excellent job in giving Anna and Elsa"s backstory more depth and seeing the sisters go through the struggles they did, really made the movie more refreshing. The plot for the second one is definitely darker as well as emotional and seeing Disney attempt something like this when the first was so cheerful / light hearted is commendable. I don"t quite know why people assumed this was a kids movie. After watching it with my quite mature girlfriend, she even said "wow, I don"t think kids would be able to understand the emotion and complexity of this plot. The storyline touched on things that a 10 year old might not even be able to comprehend fully. I would say though, the storyline itself could be somewhat controversial and political but Frozen 2 is about the growth of two sisters and despite the controversy around the topic, they were able to deliver on that.
2) Music. Yes, the music did not have that Disney touch to it that made the first songs so mainstream and catchy. But give credit where it"s due, the songs in Frozen 2 was magnificent regardless. They were able to really showcase the capabilities of Idina Menzel"s voice, Olaf"s naiveness made for another cute solo from Olaf and Kristoff finally has a full solo as well which I thought he did fantastic in singing and really gave off that 80"s ballad vibe which was very entertaining to watch. "Show Yourself" was such a touching sequence as you witness Elsa overcoming her battles (not gonna spoil what happens haha) and to have such an emotional song with so many aspects to really highlight and intensify those emotions, it just made for a great song.
The last thing I would say is that, most people did not feel the same Disney vibes that they did while watching the first movie and the original songs. For that reason, plus the few questions left behind from the plot, gave this movie a rating lower than it deserved. If you prefer happier vibes with a simple story line the first Frozen is for you. It you prefer a more emotions and depth to the plot, Frozen 2 is for you. There has always been a negative connotation in terms of sequels for Disney princess movies and it"s important for us to just enjoy the movie as it is. When you don"t focus on other people"s harsh critiques on this movie and try to enjoy it for what it is, you"ll be a lot more satisfied with the movie than most people say.
Would I say I enjoyed it more than the first one? I loved Frozen with a passion in the past and was obsessed with it and watching the second one, left me with nothing but reminiscing on the great memories this series has brought me. From the gleeful feelings the first one gave me, to the emotions and tears the second one delivered, the Frozen series is something everyone can enjoy. I love movies with tear jerking climaxes and endings and I would say I got that. Therefore, although my obsession with Frozen 2 isn"t as significant as it was for Frozen, I enjoyed Frozen 2 as a movie a lot more.

Am about to watch it for the fifth time. Viva la Queen Elsa&Anna. Very Very Good.I like very ozen2 OST are too good to listen.??????. The story was great (especially that great Olaf scene) and the music was once again a hit. Good job to the team.
